Ft Myers newborn photographer Laura Michele Photos partners with The Tiny Footprints Project to offer free photography services to parents and families of newborn premies staying in the NICU of local hospitals.

“The meaning of life is to find your gift.  The purpose of life is to give it away.” -Pablo Picasso

I spent several months thinking about and researching different ways I could give back to my community through my photography.  It was very hard to decide on just one to start with, but I was very drawn to the cause of The Tiny Footprints Project.  Being a newborn photographer, I know just how fleeting that precious newborn phase is.  You blink, and they’re sitting up, crawling, walking, and so on.  I felt so terrible for the families who had to spend months on end in the NICU of the hospital, and even worse about what their little babies were going through.  It’s such a stressful time, full of worry, when the little life you just brought into the world can’t even come home with you.

You can find out more about The Tiny Footprints Project by visiting their website, or by visiting their Facebook page here.  If you or someone you know has a premie in the NICU of a local (Fort Myers, Naples, or surrounding areas) hospital, please contact me, or The Tiny Footprints Project directly.  The service is 100% free, and we hope to bring even the tiniest bit of joy to such a stressful time.  Everyone should be able to have professional newborn photos of their babies.

Here are a few highlights of a recent session I did for TTFP.  How beautiful is she?  Her parents were absolutely wonderful, and I hope they love their images as much as I do!

Thanks so much for visiting!

Meet Austin and Lillian

Newborns are some of my favorite subjects to photograph.  They’re so sleepy and cuddly and adorable, and it definitely helps me keep my baby fever in check.  🙂  Arleen, mommy-to-be, contacted me a few months before she was due, and I was absolutely THRILLED to hear that she was expecting twins!  I got right to work on new props, hats, and blankets for the boy/girl duo.  I’m slightly obsessed with newborn props!

Meet Miss Lillian, and Mr. Austin, born September 17, 2014 (Yes, once again I’m WAY behind on blog posts – shame on me!).  We actually did two different sessions on two different days; one with family shots, and then another with the cute curly newborn poses.  Let me tell you, these two angels slept through BOTH sessions!  And each session was 2-4 hours long.  They were a dream to work with, and they really allowed me to get some amazing photos for Mom and Dad.  Have a look for yourself!

I’m so happy to have met this wonderful family, and look forward to keeping in touch with them and watching their babies grow!

Introducing Mr. “B” | Cape Coral Newborn Photography

Introducing Mr. “B” | Cape Coral Newborn Photography

Introducing Mr. “B”!  Yesterday he was 11 days new, and such a little cutie!!  I wanted to share a couple of the photos I was able to capture of this beautiful baby boy, so you can share in the experience.  I had the pleasure of doing his parents’ maternity session at the end of last year, so meeting him yesterday was so exciting!

Introducing Mr. “B”

Is he not just absolutely gorgeous?  I just love those pouty lips and that dimpled chin!  He was quite alert for such a young man, too.  Not usually ideal conditions for photographing these beauties, but I was so happy to be able to snuggle with him during his awake time, and his parents were nice enough to put up with me for several hours so we could get the amazing sleepy shots as well.

It’s so true what they say – these little creatures grow up SO fast!  I know from personal experience, having an 18-month-old, an 11-(almost 12)-year-old, and a 16-year-old.  Even with my youngest, I seriously can’t remember him being as small as Baby B.  But he was!  That’s why it’s truly so important to get those photos while they are.  And hire a pro so Mom and Dad can get in there, too!

If you or someone you know is expecting a little bundle of joy, contact me to discuss and schedule your cape coral newborn photography session!  You’ll never regret having these priceless photos of your newly-enhanced family, or your ever-changing family member!  And neither will your new son or daughter.  I desperately wish there were photos like these of me when I was a newborn.  It’s an investment you’ll never regret!

Please contact me and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.  Now, back to working on this beautiful boy’s gallery!
